There are so many threads about L7's and how many db's they will hit its crazy........ Ive learned that L7's get loud but sound like shit doing it so if u want any kind of SQ i wouldnt really recommend these.... with $500 id go with a re xxx 15,18........ sound 10 times better also

Best things to do is if your back seat comes down, take it down and point it toward the front if not or u want to use the back deat alot then face it toward the back

The only major things is the looks and it may increase the loudness a tad because of them not being inside the box but it does take up more room outside of the box is the only bad thing....

When people say "with a certain amp & box" their refering to install..... you could spend little on subs but have a great install and make them sound like they cost 4 times what they really cost..
