yes the demensions and parameters are different but they are both designed to work with the same type of enclosures, power and sizes in mind. now the MKII M6 is virtually the same as the D6 (so its been said) and looks like it as well. The original M6 looks a bit different as shown below...

for me if you have a decent bass set up (which you have. IMO almost any two 10" subs in a competent box qualifies as decent) then my 1rst priority would be upgrading the rest of the system. Sure it will probably sound better if not louder but you could probably achieve 75% of that improvement...

independent of price I'd go with just the order you listed them. 1) diamond 2) quart 3)JL I just wont buy an amp that doesn't put out any additional power into lower impedence loads period (which puts the JL at the bottom of my list). negates good watts per dollar IMO.
