Is there any kind of aersole spray or tape sound deadener?

Not sure on the Cascade spray. It seems a good alternative if you are just treating small areas or areas that are difficult to reach. I've used foam weather stripping in my truck where I had panels rattling against each other. It's easy to use and easy to remove and reinstall. Using a rubber...

Cascade makes an aerosol deadener. Parts Express carries it. Rubber weatherstripping may also work with some spray adhesive. Pipe insulation is another idea.

The Velocity line from Blaupunkt is supposed to be pretty solid gear. They make some nice looking amps in that line as well.

Amp recommendation, and review of specs

RF T400-2 on the comps http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCT4002 RF T1500-1bd on the subs http://www.cardomain.com/item/ROCT15001BD I have no solid reasons for picking these. I just think they are sharp and I can't afford them . No idea on the carputer. I'm sure someone here has one that can...

    Components

My advice is to scrap the idea of running two sets of components up front. Combine the money you would have spent on them and buy one really nice set for the front. One set of components with a properly matched amp is capable of getting very loud. Another idea is to go with one set of...

should i bolt down my box when i get it made?

Also remember that a 100lb+ subwoofer enclosure isn't something you want flying around in the cabin with you if you get in a wreck. Bolt that thing down.

    Sub wiring

From your description of how you have it wired currently it would show a 1 ohm load to the amp. Should be good to go.

x2 Take the cap out and see if it helps. Make sure you disconnect the ground on the battery when you change wiring around to keep things safe.

Not worth it unless you are running a 5.1 system for movies and such.

    Crossover Frequency

For subs, start with 80hz and then adjust from there to blend with your mids and highs. Typically, subwoofers are crossed over between 60hz and 100hz depending on what other speakers you are running.

    Quick question

To run a sub properly you're going to need an amplifier. Head unit power will not be enough even for a smaller sub. You can install a switch inline with the remote wire of the amp if you want to shut off the amp while still playing the rest of the system.

Setting the filters on my amp

For the lowpass filter, start off at 80hz. Listen to the system and fine tune the adjustment to blend with your mids and high speakers. Generally, the setting should be from 60hz to 100hz. The infrasonic filter is used if you are running a ported enclosure to keep the lowest frequencies from...
