    Help wiring

Of course, if you use heat-shrink you'll want to use solder and a soldering iron ($15 kit) as well.

    underdash neons

You should use a relay and a small amp fuse for the relay... also, check out computer mod shops like http://www.svc.com and http://www.xoxide.com for cheap cold cathode kits... the light is separate from the bulb in these pc kits and they are cheap as hell.

    confused on ohms

Bridged is wired from + to - , multiple coils. Resistance adds like X + Y = total amps (IE 4 ohm coils = 4+4=8). Parallel is wired such that the same wire connects to multiple + terminals or multiple - terminals... Resistance then adds inversely so that 1/X + 1/Y = 1/total amps (IE 1/4 +...

US Acoustics USX fiasco ? What's that?

I have no clue what this person might be referring to. From caraudioforums.com's general discussion on JBL BP1200.1 testing (saying its output faded with time - timeframe of weeks).... I don't want to get into the 1200.1 myself, I have no interest in their setup or longevity of that amp, but...

Do i need the wires best buy provides? Cant I buy my own cheaper?

My local best buy wouldn't use my wiring kit (a RF kit like the ones they had... such a waste of money) to hook up my amp and sub. They had no problem with my own amp and sub, but wouldn't use my wires. I then found this forum and did lots of research and wired my new system up myself.

    Help with Remote Wire

Your remote wire is what makes your amp turn on and power speakers. If your remote wire is actually crapping out, your amp and the amp powered speakers will turn off. If it seems like an intermittant problem, I'd suggest redoing the remote wire connections, then replacing the (possibly...

    My EXHAUST TIP WAS STOLEN

So, what are you going to do if you know who stole it ? I'm amazed the school would even let you look at that knowing what you'd want to do after you found out who did it.

    How to Fry an Amp.

Your amp is designed for a certain resistance/load. Too low and the amp ends up pushing out way more current than the electronics are designed to take. Too high and the amp will not be able to discharge its circuitry well, also resulting in extra heat.
