Leveling Up Car Audio: Tweeters, Amps, Crossovers

I’ve recently installed a JVC Head unit along with 4 kicker 6x8 coaxial speakers in my 2006 F150. The speakers are rated at 75 watts rms. The next thing I want to do is add two tweeters in driver and passenger side doors. As well as the appropriate amps and crossovers. What do I need to purchase next?

You don't want/need that many tweeters. I'd suggest replacing the coaxials with a component set.

The ear notices where and how loud things are more so as the frequencies get higher. Multiple tweeters is a bad idea. It will destroy any semblance of stage and over emphasize the higher band of frequencies to the point that you will turn them down, (and the treble) on both the coaxials and the tweeters which is kind of self defeating, no?

if you want to raise the stage, clip the wires to the tweeters on the 6x8's, add a decent of Stevens SA-1's with the supplied caps up in the doors or in the sail panels, no additional amp needed, run them parallel off the 6x8's.

If mounting space is an issue, I got a pair of these, BNIB, $95 shipped to the lower 48 (including the audio grade metalized poly cap).

They only require .5" of mounting depth!

What theyre trying to say Jaxson..
You think you want to make things better & adding tweeters cuz thats what everyone does...
People who correctly add tweeters are working with a single component driver, not coaxials like you already installed which already have a tweeter built in...
What youre trying to do is add 2 reels onto one fishing pole, will do no good & make matters worse....
Less is more...
