Enhanced Car Entertainment for Polarized Sunglasses

I have a Ridgeline with a Kenwood audio system and I can't see the audio screen very well since I use prescription sunglasses with polarized lenses.
Are there any recommendations for an audio system in which I will be able to see the screen without tilting my sunglasses?

Polarized sunglasses can indeed interfere with the visibility of certain screens, especially LCD and LED displays found in many car audio systems. Here are a few recommendations to help you with visibility while wearing sunglasses:

1. **OLED Displays**: Opt for a unit with an OLED screen, as they typically have better viewing angles and less interference with polarized lenses compared to standard LCDs.

2. **High-Quality LED Screens**: Some newer car audio systems feature high-brightness LED screens with anti-glare technology, which might provide better visibility even with polarized lenses.

3. **Adjustable Angles**: Look for systems that have tiltable or movable screens, so you can adjust the angle to improve visibility depending on lighting conditions.

4. **Custom Positioning**: Consider aftermarket installations that allow the screen to be mounted in a more favorable position that may help with visibility.

5. **Different Brand Options**:
- **Pioneer**: Many Pioneer models are known for good display visibility and may perform better with polarized lenses.
- **Alpine**: They often have screens that are designed to reduce glare, improving visibility.
- **JVC**: They offer some options that might be less adversely affected by polarized lenses.

6. **Test Before Purchase**: If possible, visit a retailer and test different models while wearing your sunglasses. This is the best way to gauge visibility based on your specific lenses.

Additionally, if changing your current system is not feasible, you might consider a screen protector that can reduce glare or a different type of lens for your sunglasses that doesn't have polarization.

Wear non polarized eyeglasses and purchase one of those flip polarizers. You can flip it up for the few seconds that you are viewing the stereo screen. I wear polarized glasses, and they don't cause any issues on my JVC stereo screen.
