Whilst in my holding pattern I am taking care of a few cosmetic additions. To my surprise and delight all the bulbs for this Equinox that I would typically change on any car are all 194 bulbs. 5 overhead interior and two tag lights. The same company I use for my LED headlights offered this 194 white led 10 pack on the cheap!

I think I am going to be running a pair of 12's in the Equinox with the enclosure against the back of the seat. Subs facing up and port facing the rear. I have been brain storming an amp rack at an angle closer to the hatch slightly above the subs with a battery rack below or another shelf for perhaps for a second JP630. I know my alternator is 125-130a and they make high output aftermarket replacements of 220a+.

I know I will be doing the Big 3 and an up front battery upgrade... I want to run a 2/0 cable to the rear this time. Maybe someone can clear this up for me. I can run the cable directly from the alternator to the rear right? Like [Alt - Short cable run - Fuse/Relay - Cable run to the rear - JP630(x2) - Distribution blocks - Amps]?

I've always run Alt to Battery to back.. Never seen anyone run from the alt to the back unless there battery was back there.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the question? Been a long day..

No, you got it.

I know they make distribution blocks for the alternator.
Those distros look to be for big systems with multiple runs and a second alt dedicated to the stereo (I might be wrong though)

That said I don't see the point of coming off the alt back

Nothing is hooked up but I finally got the amps and subs out of the Elantra. I mounted the board on top of the box with two L brackets and 8 screws. I also filled back in the 7 boxes full of stuff since I am moving. Everything is fitting so far. I did measure the most narrow width and all I have to work with is 37.5". I may stick with 10's for a while... some harder hitting 10's of course.

An sql-15 don't need a big box 😂
I know... I am curious how 10's or 12's sound in this new to me Equinox. I know what two JBL P1224's did to my Jeep Grand Cherokee. They made my eyes dance with a 1Kw Alpine amp. At Columbus Car Audio it measured 145db on the glass @ 37hz.
