Featured The Equinox that Rocks?

I do miss my Silverflutes.

Check out these PE buyouts, One review likes them better than the flutes.
Basically a truncated Dayton Sig180

I thought about those but I am not sure how they would sit on the speaker mounting rings without a gap from the truncted part of the basket.

Seems like the world wants me to delay my departure for an extra week. I had my Equinox in the shop (fuel gauge not working) to replace the fuel pump and sending unit. I figured do both while they are there so they are both new. Genuine GM parts of course. So they call me and let me know it is all back together but it is still broken. They said they scanned the code and it told them specifically the drivers side sending unit is the fault. Damn Chevy had to form the gas tank around the rear drive shaft and exhaust on the 2nd gen Equinox's. So, $500 in labor today and next week when they get the other part, $540. At least the fuel system will be new. 🫤

I feel ya buddy...every time I get the "last" thing fixed so I can take my delta on a 4hr round trip to the shop I want to do the install (they wanna see the car and equipment before they agree to anything) something else pops up 😢

Wheew... I forgot a had a couple more pieces in the Elantra that needed to be removed. My Taramps universal bass knob which works like a charm by the way and the fuse holder I had in the trunk connected to the 12v input side of the Ioxus group 31 battery.

Just spent the last half hour trimming my Metra front door speaker brackets to fit the Earthquake shallow 6'5" subs/mid-bass drivers. Got them to slide in tight and flush in the rings. Next I will get the foam tape to make a gasket for the speaker to mount to on the rings. I think these will do fine for mid-bass in the Equinox. Oh, and mounting screws. Weirdly the speakers did not come with screws.

I am currently hunting down the best option for the power cable from the front of the Equinox to the cargo area. Can't decide on brand or size. It will be Tinned OFC because I am running it under the vehicle. I want to use cable intended for car audio use and or marine audio use. I don't want to use welding cable. I can use 1/0awg because the length won't be crazy long. I am estimating 15-18ft max. Power is going to be getting up there I guess. The JP13, RF Punch 500x2 and Punch 400x4. I have the JP630 supercapacitor bank. I will upgrade the alternator and do the big 3-4. What do you think... run some 2/0 tinned ofc front to back? I would like to run an Orange cable. Similar to how hybrid cars high power cables are orange. Of course red and black on the interior of the car. What brand should I go with???
