Featured Old School McIntosh

I am piecing together an Old School McIntosh system in my 2011 FJ CRUISER! I have my Mcintosh mx406 HU & and a MC420M 4 Channel x 50 Watts Amp.
I have 2way Focal 165 K2 6.5" Component Speakers. My Next piece is a MPM4000 Power Output Meter.

My question? I don't have the Original DC/DC Converter Needed for the HU. I can Buy an Old Used Mac/Clarion 1 on Ebay or????
Will an AUDIOCONTROL MATRIX PLUS 6 CHANNEL LINE DRIVER accomplish the Same thing?

Then as I mainly listen to Old Man Classic Rock Maybe add an AUDIOCONTROL THE EPICENTER

The Rig came with the Factory JBL System. Last step Figure out a Compact Musical Sub set up for the Side well that Does not take up Floor Space...

Local guy used 2 Illusion 10s ported on one side panel in the cargo area. They sounded great. Small airspace subs too.

I know its not an FJ but just throwing ideas out there.

Active. Was Wondering if an AUDIOCONTROL MATRIX PLUS 6 CHANNEL LINE DRIVER accomplish the Same thing as the DC/DC?

Line drivers are for the signal. The dc/dc converter is for 12v power.

Thanks MARC! Do You know of a Really Good Converter I can Buy instead of 1 of the OLD Clarion ones sold with the McIntosh HU back then? Thanks again

No, I don't. If I were you, I'd keep an eye on ebay for a defective Clarion/Addzest/Mcintosh player that has one included. That will probably take a while but you will find one eventually. They definitely are out there. Recommending one from a third party is above my pay grade. Sorry!

If possible, I'd go with the original DC/DC converter—it's more compatible. The Epicenter might be overkill for classic rock! Nice build!
