Except beef hasn’t risen over $2 a pound since Trump.
In 2020 while Trump was POTUS for 8 more months, it was $4.73/pound. A few months ago it was $4.79.
Six cents per pound more. 1.2% A $3/year difference for the average beef eater.
Except the average salary for the US worker has gone up more than 1.2%, so that would make beef cheaper than it was in 2020.

Ground Beef sure as sh!t went up $2/lb in my neck of the woods. 93% lean ground beef went from $5.99/lb and I could catch sales for $4.99 on occasion to $9.99/lb with no sales. It's back to ~$8.50/lb and occasional sales are back.

80-20 is 4.99 a lb here if you buy it per lb or for a couple lbs at a time. IF it is on sale and in bulk best you will see now is 2.99 a lb for a 10lb package and yeah its 80-20 blegh. Personally I won't go less then 85-15 or 90-10 otherwise it is just too much grease. I mean yeah we keep 80-20 frozen for emergencies in 1.25lb packages vacuum sealed but last resort. Same with steaks gotta at least be Angus or better. And I live in the land of dairy, meat & beer. All 3 are crazy high anymore even on sale. We have friends that own farms and thankfully now & then they will give us a bunch of roasts or tenderloins or stuff like that.

We buy on sale in bulk as we have 2 houses and 3 people to feed. We have 3 fridges plus a 20 cubic feet freezer between the houses and we are adding in another freezer as we stock up at thanksgiving on those 49 cent a lb turkeys and on hams. We keep at least 3 frozen full turkey's plus a couple turkey breasts at all times plus at least 2-3 spiral cut bone-in hams plus a couple boneless spirals from aldi's. If it is on sale and we have the money it will get bought and freeze packed you just never know. Same with my NY Strip Steaks, dad's rib-eye's and then the porterhouses we both eat. We buy in huge packages when on sale at 6.99 a lb for NY Angus, the rib-eye's tend to be 7.99 a lb on sale and the porterhouses sometimes go as low as 8.99 a lb. Ribs tend to go on sale a lot in summer. Boneless tend to be around 1.99 a lb. Bone-in can catch 2 or 3 times a summer for .99 cents a lb. And when that happens, we buy those in 5-7lb packages and just stock up on them.

I like all kinds of burgers and many kinds of steaks. What's odd is that all of the food experts say the higher the fat, the more flavorful a burger is. But yeah, greasy AF if I cook it on cast iron. I try to use the pellet grill if I have time and the weather allows.

We buy 1/4 or 1/2 cow at a time. I'll take the lower quality cuts of steak and slow-cook them for 5 or 6 hours and shred them with BBQ sauce from J-Mack in Gilbertville KY. Highly recommended BBQ joint.

I thought it was common knowledge that beef prices took a big a jump in 2020 when Trump was in office. Unless one went vegan in 2020, it would have been hard to miss. Even if one went vegan, the beef prices were widely reported by media outlets on both sides of the aisle. Not sure if that chart isn't displaying properly or what, but in all fairness a second spike occurs under Biden...
