So, you tried to shoot the gun and didn't do it.
You TRIED. You did not DO.
You would have tried and failed. That's your attitude. I pulled the trigger, the gun failed, that is reality.
How ironic. You claim "I use every word I type correctly." And then you type "you better gangway" and "you better hit bullseye".
1. You failed to use quotation marks around the lyric, or at least attribute it to Ice.
2. Sine you didn't quote it, someone who didn;t know better would take those as your words.
The correct usage would be "You had better" or "You'd better".
You have failed your English lesson for today.
Now you are teaching? See attached image.
You are expressing dissatisfaction, which is the very definition of a complaint.
"complain - express dissatisfaction or annoyance about something
Nope. I made statements. I am sorry that you don't know the difference. Yet one more reason you argue so much.
What does the phrase make up mean? From Oxford Dictionary
make up - phrasal verb
to invent a story, etc., especially in order to trick or entertain someone He made up some excuse about his daughter being sick. I told the kids a story, making it up as I went along. You made that up! to complete a number or an amount required We need one more person to make up a team.
Yup, typical you... ignore the definition and use I sited for you.
I am happy to have seen my salary increase more than the cost of goods I am buying.
Maybe your salary dropped. If so, work on that. A professional driver should not be complaining that his ground beef cost $3 or even $6 more per year than it did 4 years ago..
I make $3 per hour and live in a dirt pit.
Loy writes these letters for decades. Loy states these things publicly. Loy Belongs to groups that support his ideas.
Loy is quite obviously doing what Loy is doing.
And yet you try to defend him by finding excuses as to how the quotes of his writings are manipulated,

That would be the logic you tried to use to defend Loy Mauch. We never saw him write the letters or attend a meeting, therefore it never happened.
That's a weird reality you live in.
If the past doesn't exist, how do you know to get up and go to work each day? PostIt notes like that guy in Memento?
Man it doesn't take much for you to be triggered and lose your mind does it.

I NEVER DEFENDED MAUCH.
That is the theory behind trickle down economics. Except it has failed every time a POTUS has tried it, including Trump.
It SOUNDS reasonable that the less people have to pay, the more they will spend, but it actually doesn't work that way in reality.
Since I am not an expert and you would just say I don't know what I'm talking about, I'll defer to experts to tell you:
"Typically, deflation is a sign of a weakening economy. Economists fear deflation because falling prices lead to lower consumer spending, which is a major component of economic growth. Companies respond to falling prices by slowing down their production, which leads to layoffs and salary reductions. This further lowers demand and prices."
You need to read others opinions to tell you how things are going to be? You can't just live how you want to live, save how you want to save, spend how you want to spend? For a person who claims to know a lot and read as much as you, you seemed to have glossed over where I said (reasonable prices.)
Can you reference a point in time when it was great, and the metrics of being great?
The guy who started that whole MAGA thing never seemed to be able to answer those questions.
Yes, when Biden was not President. Metrics... prices were lower. No war except that created by Democrats trying to destroy Trump by turning Americans against him and other Republicans. I am still trying to figure out why those insurrectionist havent been brought to trial.
Yes, it is.
You have proof?

For extra credit, tell us how this chart that shows an increase int he price of beef during Trump's presidency is wrong.
View attachment 54715

I thought it was common knowledge that beef prices took a big a jump in 2020 when Trump was in office. Unless one went vegan in 2020, it would have been hard to miss. Even if one went vegan, the beef prices were widely reported by media outlets on both sides of the aisle. Not sure if that chart isn't displaying properly or what, but in all fairness a second spike occurs under Biden...

I like all kinds of burgers and many kinds of steaks. What's odd is that all of the food experts say the higher the fat, the more flavorful a burger is. But yeah, greasy AF if I cook it on cast iron. I try to use the pellet grill if I have time and the weather allows.

We buy 1/4 or 1/2 cow at a time. I'll take the lower quality cuts of steak and slow-cook them for 5 or 6 hours and shred them with BBQ sauce from J-Mack in Gilbertville KY. Highly recommended BBQ joint.
I've been slow cooking cheaper cuts of beef since the price spike during the pandemic.

You see that chart right... in 2020 it spiked, to like the $4.70's. Still less than $5, like I said and way less than $7.79 under Biden. I am not sure how Rob got so confused or thought he needed to argue.

I'm not sure where you're pulling $7.79 from. "Rob's chart" shows current prices are $5.20/lb. Adjusted for inflation, average ground beef prices/lb have actually dropped.

That is what he is paying locally.

National Averages don't mean a damn thing to me or most of the population. What matters is what you are paying in your area for something, not what someone is paying a couple states away. I could care less that so and so is paying this much for a product like beef or gas vs what I am paying locally. That is what matters to my bank account not national averages.

I hope that's sarcasm. I pulled the $7.79lb Angus directly from the current advertisement that day for Beef at the Meijer I shop at. Even 80/20 Angus was $6.99lb. I know Rob won't but I consider the daily advertisement to be current.

Because you are comparing 80/20 regular beef prices under Trump to 85/15 Angus beef under Biden.

Or...(and hear me out on this), we could talk about the same item and the prices under the two different admins.
You know, apples-to-apples comparison. And also talk grown-up mathematics and things like real pricing and not just actual pricing.
But I get it. Math is hard.

You would have tried and failed. That's your attitude. I pulled the trigger, the gun failed, that is reality.
Yet YOU would still say "I did it" when asked if you shot the gun, with your logic that you did "do it" even if the gun didn't work.
You would tell a lie, then if called on it, come up with excuses.
Now you are teaching? See attached image.
Giving someone information or sharing knowledge is teaching, yes.
The grammar is wrong in the picture you shared. Repeating someone else's error doesn't fix the error.
"You better" is still incorrect.
Nope. I made statements. I am sorry that you don't know the difference. Yet one more reason you argue so much.
"I am not pleased with". YOUR words. This is a statement of DISPLEASURE which is synonymous with DISSATISFACTION.
When you are not pleased with something, you are
Yup, typical you... ignore the definition and use I sited for you.
The definition you cited doesn't apply to the context of the discussion (CONTEXT being something you get so excited about
You've done this before. Two east-to-recall examples are your claim the medical profession uses the word "in" improperly, and your other use of "perversion" that you said was not used to describe sexuality in a discussion about sexuality.
Then again, there is your confusion about "wheelhouse" not actually being a ship reference when I wrote it.
I make $3 per hour and live in a dirt pit.
Then spend your money more wisely. Get 80/20 regular ground, or even follow the pros' advice and use 70/30 for more flavor. And don't buy car stereo stuff you can't afford.
Be frugal until you can afford the better stuff.
Man it doesn't take much for you to be triggered and lose your mind does it.
Hmmm, aren't you the guy who lost control and got banned? The guy who threatens physical violence when he is losing arguments? The guy who finds it almost impossible to argue without resorting to ad hominem?
The triggered kid who wants a trophy even when he tried but failed.
"No no no! I DID it! It's not my fault the gun never went off!"
I NEVER DEFENDED MAUCH.
Your words show otherwise. So we have a disconnect between what you posted and what you claim to have done.
If I say I went to the moon and then later say "I never lied", does the later claim change the first one?

Ohhh, I forgot. Your degree in biology makes you just as much an expert as anyone else in any field.
Economists agree on something pretty much universally, but since your OPINION is different, then you are the correct one.
Experts in anatomy universally agree on something, but since your OPINION differs, then you are the correct one.
Expertrs in mathematics universally agree on something, but since your OPINION differs, then you are the correct one.
Of course you are unable to prove your opinion, but you still consider it correct.
Nice fantasy world.

So America was great when we were in a pandemic? Or de wo go further back and talk the Great Recession? Sept 11 2001? Not great under Trump then, when prices were higher than they are now?
Is there a time frame, or is it just small snapshots in time across history?

You really need to be more clear. None of this "Fix inflation by doing the opposite of Biden" nonsense.
Give us a grown-up response.

Plenty of them HAVE gone to trial. And plenty have been sentenced. But not enough until they ALL are.
"By the numbers: 110 people have been found guilty at trial and about 366 have been sentenced to incarceration in connection to the attack, according to figures from the U.S. Attorney's Office for D.C. through Aug. 4.
About 632 people have pleaded guilty to federal charges, including many who could face incarceration at sentencing."

That is fine if you are under the assumption that this one particular item is the only difference between your market and the others that make up said national average. Aside from an unusual sitch that causes big price changes, if your market varies widely from from the average on a product, there are probably many other factors that need to be looked at.

For example, if your gas price is a lot higher than the average, then many other products and services probably are too. And your income probably is higher than the average in order to offset that.
High overall prices in a financially depressed area or an area that can't support those prices just doesn't work. It's no coincidence that people make more money in places that have higher cost of living.

In a city nearby to me, daily parking in a secure lot/garage is $7.00 per day. In Minneapolis it's $15-20 per day. But salaries in Mpls are a lot higher too.
Are there outliers? Yes. But that's what averages are all about. And they paint a pretty accurate picture of reality.

It was an example using Thxone's method of cherry picking data points to support his complaint that 85/15 Angus beef is more exoensive now than 80/20 regular ground beef was under Trump.
Like complaining that a 2023 Toyota Tacoma is more expensive than a 2017 Corolla was in 2017.
I've been slow cooking cheaper cuts of beef since the price spike during the pandemic.
After some experimentation with slow cooking on my pellet grill (mixed results), I tried starting the cook on the grill for the smoke, then completing in an oven. Then I decided to try it in the slow cooker, since it works so well with roasts.
Even the lowest quality steak cuts shred real well after a day in the crock. I pour a can of Coke over them instead of water or beef broth.
Then J-Mack BBQ or some homemade concoctions with Sweet baby Ray's as a base.
