Need help choosing budget sub for sealed enclosure

Yep doesn't shock me one bit that so many are made in just one place in China. But they do have completely different specs though 2" coil vs 3" 1,200 rms vs 600 rms.

Plus he doesn't even have it he is asking a question. But apparently in someones crazy ass mind that is shitting on someone else's equipment, lol. Yet I've seen that person say things like "don't go with this go with this SIA you will thank me later or go with this subwoofer instead". But I say it and I'm shitting on other people's equipment..smfh. Must be the Vegas/Nevada sun that is frying this persons brain cells.

I'm in your head kid. Be nice to people. Quit saying Skarbage and stuff like this. Quit laughing at people's choices.

Ab and ds18 have good bang for the buck. I have had some skar... sold it. Wont care it for a few reasons., but I did put a shallow 12 skar in my boys truck because it fit the bill. I'm under construction on my own line of subs. And I will be the first to say not going to be a fit for everybody. Dodge neon and Viper both fit a need.

When I started my Audio shop like 18 years ago i learned name isn't as important as build shop. Lots of names come off same line with same parts. The company behind the product ( customer service, warranty ect ) is the important part if all things are equal.

Different labels or brands can opt for different levels of qc from a build house as well...so sub A and sub B can be from the same build house and essentially look the same but be completely different in quality...

the QC checks will get you fewer duds for sure but they are built the same way regardless. If playing the rebrand game the best thing to do is always to QC everything yourself once it comes in. The 3 major build houses in China for subs (in my opinion of course) build decent subs. How much they are marked up by some though make it kinda crazy for what you get and pretty good when the prices are decent.

I remember a thread where a guy posted gut pics of a Critical Mass and Audio Pipe amplifiers. Layoutwise they were carbon copies of each other. Difference was on the components used. Probably tighter tolerances on the Critical Mass.

American bass. It moved air and got loud for only 1200ish watts of a cheap audiopipe amp. Stock alt. The ds18 in with close specs was a little louder.

Hmm. That didnt look like it had much power to move that sub much?? Maybe its just me?

Here is my thought, theory. Those speakers are 80w rms. Half of that is 40w rms. Add the 40 to the 80 and you get 120w. Get an amp that is 120w...
