I got the Term Lab out tonight and finally did some testing at different frequencies just for fun and to find my peak. I came close but just couldn't break 149. I'm pretty happy with the scores. 4-8's on a SIA3500. Here are the results. So, I guess my peak is 31 hz.
131 @ 20 hz.
143.3 @ 25 hz.
147.4 @ 28 hz.
148.6 @ 30 hz.
148.9 @ 31 hz.
148.8 @ 32hz.

Would be worth trying the test again on a hot day and cold day to see, but it seems that 31hz + or - 1 will be your sweet spot.

Did you find any gains from moving things around (visor, headrests, seats, glove box, etc.?) How high did you roll up the frequency and how quickly does the number drop off as you go up? If 31hz is say an 8th wave peak you may have a quarter wave peak at 62 (disable your LPF if you wish to test this).

It does look like you found a gain there but that could be just that the meter at the show and this one in the pics are off from each other (not uncommon).

Nice!

You're doing just about the same number as I was on my 2 18's. It's just a hair lower across the board, but that's really good numbers for what you have, IMO. I'd rock this system.

We played with the passenger seat position and visor and it really didn't matter. They were both 148.8 or 148.9. I'm almost more impressed with the 147.4 @ 28 hz.

I hear ya. My box builder doesn't charge me. I hang out at his shop 3 or 4 days a week. We're about the same age. He started making boxes when he was 13. He's probably the best in Vegas.
Cool. The shops here in Tucson aren’t all that great. I’m not saying people here don’t know car audio, but most of the shops here have a 25 year old in a nice shirt who doesn’t know **** about audio selling their equipment.

My buddies shop sells very little equipment. Most people just get a box built and that's it. It's just him and one installer who only works if somebody wants something installed. The hours are like 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. or later. I stayed there one night until 5:30 a.m. helping with an install. Very flexible hours. And music, food, and drinks are always part of the equation. It's more like a hang out place like a barber shop.

My shop is a one man hangout just for me. I just started doing boxes for profit. See what happens
