Early stages but I was bored and decided to cut a couple pieces today. Sub is on back order til Jan/Feb. Gives me time to just take this build slow and no rush.
Box will be in 1996 f150. Left and right sides behind seats with sub facing foward between bucket seats.

I would have to say the pair of Massive Audio Sumo 6.5” in a t-line. Only reason I took them out was because I was sitting too close to the steering wheel with that box behind the seat. made for an uncomfortable ride.

Did you post pics of that build anywhere? I'd like to check that out.

I'll be doing my cousin a box for his truck soon as soon as we get a dry day, He bought a pair of F8L's I'm curious to see how they do.

No pics of that one. That was maybe 3 years ago. I just recently trashed the box. I had to clear out my shed and had no use for it.
I would also like toknow how those f8L’s do. I’m sure they will not disappoint.

Subs were firing into drivers seat with port firing up behind driver side. I think out of all the setups I’ve tried, that one hit the lowest/deepest. I even used .5” mdf due to lack of space.

I want to do a pair of those in a series 6th order. I think I could make them play very low in one for being 8's.

I hope this box and it's somewhat unique layout work out well for you. Getting these single cabs sounding good and still having leg room can be a challenge. I tried really hard to make this the absolute best that I could. Every clearance is just so tight, and volume is limited behind the seats. That's why your ports wound up that way. You can't really do a single side firing port when the box is shape that way. With all of that said, the internal flow of this box is unique compared to many other ported boxes. All done in the name of internal/back of the cone loading.

I like those subs. IMO, they really do seem to be designed for SQL, just like their name says. They have quite a bit of Mms, but that seems to give them their lows Fs and small box size. I've become fond of softer suspension subs that like small boxes but still have strong motors and good xmax. These woofers would be really sick in a multi-sub bandpass. They'd be good candidates for a low end music crushing box.

Stereo integrity sub teamed up with you on the box design, should be a win for sure! It’s funny cause right when I think you and I are cool, you got me with another design that consist of multiple angled cuts 😡🖕🏽!!😂
All good, just making me better at this box building. I am checking all Black Friday deals for a miter saw.

That was the best way to do it, I swear. It was really the only way to do it, IMO, where it has the best chance of sounding the best.

Haha if you don't want angle cuts then do a blowthrough

Any details on this box as far as how much room it would take total? He has a 05 Chevy Ext. cab wonder if this 6th order would fit as a console box?
