Buck Box Designs - Refreshed Thread

Its funny, years back I had a 4th order Tline design for a DD1508. I didnt build it but the guy I had the design from had it in his SUV. He swore up and down it was the most musical sub he had ever used. Basically the sealed side controlled cone motion and fed into a Tline tuned to FS. The line wrapped around the internal sealed side. I sold my SUV and never built it. I love to see different designs

I've done that with a sealed for 2 shallow mounts in a slightly tapered t-line; my design, customer build. He said it turned out very well:

31941

31942

31943

31944

31945

31946

That might be the biggest box in history for 2 shallow mounts lol

I don't know if we can get purple carpet. Everything is already in full as it is; I can't change the design at this point.

Yeah I figured as much tbh I completely forgot about looking anyways with feeling the way I do. Black carpet as we talked about will work. I am so wiped right now I can't remember one thing from the next with all the pain I am in.

You could get white carpet and use grape juice or dye to make it purple. Did you hurt yourself?

Recovery from Right Knee Surgery on the 17th in which a lot of damage was removed and then dealing with a tooth all the way in back that needs to be removed but been putting it off because of too much going on.

Yeah the black carpet is okay with me since it is a white explorer with black wheels and what not.

Ugh. Hope it heals up quick.

Tantric SHDs.

It's been a minute since I've seen those. Tantric occasionally asked me for box advise back years ago, when they were...uh...still here? I actually talked to the owner about their subs; they did have a unique design philosophy with their woofers. If you still have that sub, we could definitely do something with it.

Nah it was about 5 years since I have had Tantric subwoofers. Had the two 21s in 22 cubes ported in my 2010 focus on a Taramps T20.2kw. I bought them from Jason Oakley who had 4 in his Silverado. Then went back to my SHD 18s. I really liked the 18s and Murphy was good to me but I will still say he was a POS to alot of people. So I went to my 8 12s setup.

I'm still maybe 5-7 days out from being able to design again. I've had to order some very long cables for my PC. So, I'll be on here, but won't start designing until maybe the middle of September. Wish me luck; I need it, lol.

I left my mouse on top of my car, and.....

***** when you can’t move along with what you want to do. I was planning on doing a small business in my shop building boxes, making pods, and doing some miscellaneous woodworking projects. Now with my little accident I’m probably 6 months out or more from being able to afford to do a startup like that. I’ve had to spend my savings that I was going to use for that to pay bills. Workmans comp is going to cover some, but a single night in the ER was 77,000$, not counting all my follow up visits. I am for sure going to owe some out of pocket.

Such a reasonable price....I know all about medical bills, unfortunately. I stopped going to doctors, mostly. I reached a point where I realized nobody really knows what they're doing. I know your situation is different. I wish there was an alternative to how our medical system works. In general, it seems like all of our society is designed to financially extract the most out of us, from the price of a candy bar in a gas station, to the price of a car, to things like medical bills. Who knows what the future holds; maybe this system will collapse in on itself, and hopefully it'll open up more doors for actual change. People are legitimately suffering, because the prices of everything and the costs to live are just so high. For my generation (let's just say early 90's baby), things like home ownership are a joke. It's easier to afford stuff in some third world countries, and that's not a guess; that's information from people who moved here from some 3rd world countries. They get here and are like "wtf?"

I did the ultimax 8 in .6 on the sealed side and .4 @49 hz on the ported side. With cabin gain I ended up getting a little hump on the low end, but not as much as it did ported. Your design for the 10s looks really good. Your customers are getting very nice sounding sub systems.
what size and type of port did you run on this?
