Amp not turning on

My amp randomly stopped working.
I tested 12v and ground. Perfect

the remote wire getting 0
So I’m guessing this is the problem but if I wire my amp direct with 12v it still doesn’t turn on?

Try another amp. If it turns on you'll know the other one is defect.

If you sent 12 volts to the remote wire directly and its still not turning on your amp is fuckered.

I have a switch on the remote wire to turn the amp on/off when I try press this, the amp lights up and quickly goes out. Would this still indicate the amp is bad ?

Try a jumper from the amp's positive to the remote wire.

Okay I’m gonna bring it inside and try it with power supply and if it doesn’t still turn on I will have to buy a new one.
the current amp is a kenwood kac-5206 and run a kenwood KFC-W112s

which amp would you recommend to get to pair with the sub? Something within budget

So I connected the amp to a power supply and the amp comes on for a split second and LED goes out and my power supply shuts off aswel?

It has a short. When the relay kicks in, power goes through the problem spot and overloads the power source, shutting it down.
