Hello, I recently purchased a 99 silverado ls with a premium sound system. I was told the radio head was bad and thats why there was a loud whine from the speaker, so I bought the exact head and replaced it, yeah it wasn't the problem. The sound only comes from the front speakers and does it whether or not the truck is on or off. I am very new to this, and I'm horrible with anything electrical. I looked at the amp and the light comes on. I have no idea where anything is grounded. I'm pretty upset as I can't cruise with music and its literally the only time I can bump music.

My dog started barking playing that video... That's awful.

Honestly it could be a ton of things. Unplug the RCAs and see if it still does it.

You can also get an RCA to 3.5mm cable and plug your phone into the amps RCA inputs to see if the issue is headunit related or amp related.

When one of my Us Amps died, it made a sound similar to this. The amp fried a set of DLS Ultimate in the process. The stripper I was with seemed way more concerned than I was LoL!!

I was so excited and then it still did it 😭, although now my back speakers are louder. So thats good. Lol if I post a pic of the back of the radio setup can you let me know if thats also I correct?

Wow... yeah channels 1 and 2 are bridged (Not good) if they are not meant to run a sub. If they RCA cables (the blue plugs and gray plugs) were in the amp that way they I suspect they may be incorrect on the back of the radio as well.

Start fresh, pull the radio - Plug the gray plugs (RCA's) into either the REAR or SUB RCA outputs on the back of the radio. - Plug the blue plugs (RCA's) into the FRONT RCA outputs on the back of the radio. Make sure you note which color goes to LEFT and RIGHT. - Plug the other end of the GRAY cables into 3 and 4 on the amp (Make sure left and right are correct) one plug is left, one is right. - Plug the blue cables into 1 and 2 on the amp. Mind the left and right. Come back when this is done.
