New to car audio, got a 2001 Chevy Tahoe without Bose with factory amp. My factory sub is shot. I got skar audio ix-8d2. The sub is 2ohm dual voice coil, would it be okay if I wired it to be 4ohm on the factory 2ohm amp? Or should I return and get the 4ohm and wire to 2ohm?

Yes but it will be seeing around half the power running at 4 ohms.

I would get a dual 4 ohm subwoofer.

Okay thanks, just out curiosity Would their be major difference in the sound quality? Between the 4ohm and 2
