Amp Recommendations

Or can I just disconnect factory sub and connect sum8 there ?
you are getting the signal from all door speakers and subs to recreate a full flat signal with any of the dsp options so its a lot of wiring.

In a truck, you NEVER ever want to use a sealed box. Let us see the picture of the sub inside the car and we can recommend a design that would work well and hopefully fit most of it where you are at.

May I ask what that reason is? I’ve ordered a “vented” box but in no way are they large enough ports for 2 dc lvl 4 12s so my plan was to plug em. Physically the largest enclosure on the market, under seat. That’ll give me 1.37 sealed per sub. There’s no manufacturing of a ported under seat box that’s “correctly” tuned

I had a mtx thunderform box with a 12" kicker compRT under the seat on my old 2004 F150 supercrew. I was really happy with how the box fit and the sound quality, but I always wanted more volume.

From what I’ve seen, fox acoustics has the largest volumes available, he runs pretty much to the front edge of the rear seat on the ram and rhino lined, whereas netaudio enclosures are sooo nice and carpeted but they stop at the edge of the storage area below.

Purely from acoustical loading. Sealed boxes need a solid wall to load off of to get the best results and most of the times you will run into massive cancellation which literally takes away 90% of your subs capabilities. With ported you can have the port fire and load off the passenger side door and avoid some of that cancellation and actually get loud.

Fox boxs ***** performance wise, port specs are poor. Youll want to hook up with a local builder or someone that has experience building boxes online about your car that actually knows how to get loud. In your case a pair of 8s in a ported on less power would completely destroy your two 12s in a sealed fully powered. Thats how big of a difference proper acoustical loading does

Proper under the seat boxes are 8s forward firing, side ported. With your two 12s you'll need to do a center console box with rear firing port.

No. Dont cheap out on the box by buying garbage. Get a proper one custom made. You were about to spend 500... Spend it properly and dont skimp out the most important parts of your setup.

A proper ported box would be 1.5x to 2x that q bomb box's size space makes bass

ok. thanks for helping me. your right. been away from truck all this week. Gonna take a photo of my space and post it. Maybe u can recommend the proper box
