Rockville baby

Did you actually leave? Did you decide on anyone of those subs?
Hell na I didn’t leave I just took a smoke break, and no I haven’t decided on a sub yet. I just want something strong that will be a good match for the amp. As much as I would love to get a sundown SA, I just can’t spend that much on a sub. So a decent budget friendly alternative would be dope. I’ve seen good reviews of NVX subs and SKAR as well.

NVX is still an unknown to me. The prices on their subs are on par with the Fosgate Punch series locally, so I figure something must be right with them. Now Skar is not liked by many in this Forum, but I think it is that the owner screwed over quite a few people. I have heard their subs and monos and must say they get loud. The build does not look half bad on entry level and the top line is heavy and beefy. Shop owner says it is the go to for youngsters for the prices are accessible. We had Pyramid.

My friend has 2 EVL 12’s on a Rockville 3000 watt amp and they are slamming bro. I’m sure it’s not competition level or whatever but I hooked them up for him and they are solid. Beefy magnets and super heavy. The SVR line is around 800rms so I might snag one for like $120. 2.6in voice coil and 150oz magnet. Looks good on paper. Anything you could recommend in the same price range? I know it’s limited options for under $150 but I thought the same about an amp and I got a decent 1000 watt amp for $115. Btw thanks for actually helping me out with the topic at hand. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

The NVX VCWs are decent $150 subs. Would be my choice for $150 subwoofers for sure.

Butttttt you have 1000rms BEFORE box rise and voltage drop. I would be running a 500rms subwoofer with gains set clean.

Stay away from Skarbage.

I don’t think the nvx product is bad At all, their wiring I’ve used from speaker wire To power wire to rca’s is pretty decent...v series rca’s are simple and don’t fall apart at the connector.
The x series separates are good and their v series components sound good for the relatively low cost. Also their vcw subs put out for $150-$180. A Homeboy at work has them and build quality seemed solid for entry level budget prior to install and they sounded good in a ported enclosure final install. Not sure about their new amps but their old 900.4 and 1200.1 were hertz/ppi clones from a real power output vantage point. New ones run loud per big d but they put out close to rated.

Maybe this...gets you a one
ohm load. For the increases output On what some will say will be lower actual power
Maybe a t-line enclosure?

Man I seriously appreciate you taking the time to respond. Would a 10 still produce the low end bass I’m looking for? I know it’s about surface area but is enclosure tuning still a bigger factor?

Man oh man I’ve been looking at Incriminator audio I12 or sundown E-12 both 500rms but many say can handle well over 500. You think one of these would pair up well with the amp? And also should I build to exact recommended specs or can I tune lower if I want lower bass? I’m very new to the concept of tuning a subwoofer enclosure but I’m using this website https://subbox.pro/en/design/?bt=2&...=&sn=&pt=1&pq=1&rf=30&pd=127&pw=2&pa=150&pp=0

You told me you were leaving so...

yess a 10
I’m the right enclosure can still give good lows. An e-12 might be good happy medium make sure you get a d2 I’m whatever sub you pick. Enclosure tuning is important as is type, you can increase output my looking at different enclosure types
Beyond the typical sealed vs ported.

You’re the hot to my ground <3
What about a sundown E-12 ? Follow recommended enclosure specs or tweak it a little?
Never fukked with it. Don't even know the spes. Sundown is usually pretty good on box recs. Their subs tend to be mechanically limited so always keep at in mind. To many cubes or to big a port and she'll come apart. In my experience anyways.

I usually build my own enclosures and didn't have the time to make another box, just happened to have the dual 12" box laying around. I see a 3.5...
