two dd 9500 15's or one dd redline 800 18"?

I'm not afraid to try things lol, now i know, plain and simple.....all I did was turn the box around. I didn't build it port forward.

I'm thinking it needs to be tuned to atleast 40hz...how does most music sound when tuned to lets say 44hz? Ive never tuned that high before.

34hz isn't for me

155 at 47hz is what I've heard in person.
I couldnt stay in the car for more than a few seconds. That's my goal

I know we've discussed what it takes to achieve 155 in a scion...a general idea atleast

Nor me. 40 is good, 44 is where you're going to start tuning to get better numbers most likely but you may also start missing some low extension and you'll need to be careful about mechanically breaking your subs with so much power on tap if you start playing too low below tuning. The port in the sketch you posted looked very long so probably tuned a bit low for what DD95 wants.

Consider depending on where the port is in the vehicle it may well act a bit longer than it is on paper too.

You will need to do a lot of work to get 155 out of your equipment and you likely won't be able to do it for long before you start melting coils

This is done on purpose. When I work outside I usually jam out with my truck's radio. Volume depends on where I am at. I sometimes ride with my windows open, the bass gets deeper and louder, which I like.
As for cabin bracing and deadening, I have none. I never use anything above 1500 watts rms. But because of other member's convos, I am now wanting deadening for better sql.
Actually think of your car like a ported box, when windows open you get a port thats why its louder. I'm mainly talking about sound escaping the sheet metal of the whole car talking about the overall general acoustics of the car. You do not want anything escaping other than when you open a window.

if its facing up, the port still needs to be in the back. Port has to be as far away from the driver as possible.

Also what are some of your go to bass songs you always play? i'll let you know what bandwidth you need to shoot for.

Or to one side, but definitely against the back wall of the vehicle.

This is conventional wisdom though I've had varying results when testing all variables chasing 10ths. I know OP doesn't have the budget or patience to try building things that usually don't work in hopes of gaining 10ths particularly if he doesn't own a meter and isn't ever going to seriously compete.

Your reading words....Listen to what wewlad? I built the one i paid for from a well known designer who I thought would actually help me instead of just taking my $40 and slapping a ******** design together after being an ******* and making me wait 10 days...it sounds like total shiit....now we're discussing tuning.... because I'm about to go get some more wood to start on another box today....

Sub up port back

Anyways, I think I'm going to stick with 40hz.
Last night I managed to salvage the box one more time and was able to make the port bigger so its tuned to about 44hz right now.....sounds like shiit also.....

My go to bass songs are ones that play 35-47hz
I guess if I had to pick a song in particular to show off it would be Guccis coco song

Hardly hitting

I just got the box out of my car finally so give me a few minutes and I'll post a picture
