New System

I'm looking to put a system in my car. It's been years since I've shopped for car audio and since I got a new car I'd like to install a brand new system.

I have 2013 Subaru Impreza

I am looking to change out, head-unit, the door speakers, purchase a new amplifier and sub-woofers, and an enclosure.

I was looking to spend around $1500 for everything and since I was so out of the loop lately with the car audio stuff I figured I'd ask here if anyone can help me out getting the best bang for my buck.

I'm looking for obviously a high quality clear sound from the door speakers, and I'm a huge bass head so I'd love some nice clean deep bass. Any tips or links would be super helpful, thanks a lot!.

Are Alpine Type R/S's still a decent buy ?

Also, if you think $1500 isn't enough for something with some loud bass and clear sound let me know. I'm flexible but would LOVE to keep it below $1500.

Alpine type Rs from my experience are good subwoofers and have sound quality and get loud all at the same time. Get 2 d4 type Rs, the new 750 rms ones. And a skar rp 1200. Skar Audio has good amp lots too for cheap. Massive audio make decent doors speakers for cheap. U can get a kenwood excelon entry level stereo for $99 to $119.

$169 for the amp
You for real bro?

The alpine type r subs are $185. U can probably get 4 dual 2 ohm type r subwoofers and a skar rp2000.1 for $240. I would do that. That’s a little more than $900 in subs and amp and a little over $1000 with the head unit. And the speaker are less than $40 a pair. So u can probably get a more expensive amp. But that’s what I would vote conservatively for a type r budget build not knowing what kind of bass u like.

Now for my vote on a setup for that price range but not type r would be a Sundown sae 1500 amp and 2 sundown sa 12s. $450 for the subs and $550 for the amp. Then u still have $500 to play with.

There are bluetooth amplifiers. You can just use your phone or an I Pod as the music source and not touch the radio.
