Big3 upgrade problems

Rockville amps are cheap POS amps (boat anchors) not really meant for .5, and if your clipping the current draw the amp wants will get worse. Cheaping out on an amp can work sometimes but trying to surpass your electrical capabilities causes issues every time.

Ik they aren’t good was just something cheap to get till I upgrade. I’m just trying to get electrical worked out before I get my next setup. Going for taramps 1800.1 and 2 sundown s-12s or 15s in a custom box.

I've had a couple of their 4 channels. For $99 they weren't bad at all. Got very hot though as the heatsink design was pretty bad.

That’s the one I have I think. Didn’t know a lot when I got it so I just got a 4 channel

What subwoofers do you have. You need a mono block amp for subwoofers. Not a 4 channel.

Yes I know, I said earlier that I was gonna upgrade everything and what I was planing on doing. But I’m getting a taramps 1800.1 and most likely 2 sundown sa-12. Not for sure on the subs yet bc I’m looking for something a little cheaper but most likely those.

Go with the MD3000. More headroom to combat box rise. Do not wire it to .5 though.

I won’t what subs though? I’m looking for something that’s more in the $150 range.
