Hey man... I like the cup holder option

I'd be able to endure the knocking somewhat... and enjoy a beer while wishing for some real bass
Hahaha. Ok ok. I get it. Now I know why they call you Shredder. ?  Wish I would’ve joined this forum before I bought the first fox box. But I thought is sounded good with one T1 but I don’t know ****. ?‍♂️ I don’t have the time to build my own and don’t know of any shops in the area I trust to build it without raping me on the price. Any ideas what a fair price would / should be?

I'm just a diy guy... help with designs etc... shop pricing I haven't dealt with since the late 90's when I did some installing.

Even tho a set of Sa's mount in that box it don't mean it's anywhere near optimal.... and on a T 1500.1 to boot... lol

Single sub or multiples... if your gonna port em, make sure the NET airspace and port area works out for your subs and power level

Sounds like I’m back to square one. What if I hypothetically just ditched the T1 and stuck a SA in the box I currently have which is 1.85 cu3 and powered it with the 1500? Would there be noticeable difference from the T1 do you think? Mind you I’m still on stock electrical and 4ga wiring.

Why’s that? Besides the fact that it’s a prefab. Lol
Prefabs have small ports, poor airflow and 99% of the time the volume are tune are nowhere near what they claim to be. Top it off with a firing orientation that is equivalent to screaming into a pillow. No one has ever had a good experience with those awful fox boxes, if they did it was their first system and they didnt know any better and had nothing to compare it too. Doing it yourself saves tons of $$. Pretty much everyone on here is a diy guy.

So do you know of anyone on here that’s built one for a 4th gen Dodge Ram? I can’t find any articles. Would maybe a sealed design still give me what I’m looking for?
Sealed boxes naturally begin to roll off at 50hz, so the lower you go from there the less output there will be.

There are plenty of people who have done ported boxes in trucks like yours, just search through the build logs and enclosure design section. @Shredder2 has designed a few boxes for people in the past, maybe if you gave him a few bucks and if he has the time he could draw one up for you.

I pm’d him. We’ll see what happens. Could be fun to build one although I’m not very skilled when it comes to wood work. Appreciate all the info. Now to list that damn fox box for sale. ??‍♂️

What a lot of people do is pay for a design and cut sheet, then they take the cut sheet to their local specialty lumber store and purchase a piece of wood and have it cut to their specs. Notice I said specialty lumber store and not a big box retail store like HD or Lowes. The big box stores use rip cut blades and don't change them out when they get dull not to mention the employees are poorly trained, inexperienced and dont care.

After you get the pieces cut all you need to do is assemble them which is easy with any combination of glue, clamps and screws.

Thanks ya. Just pulled the trigger on the 1500BDCP because of the constant power that RF developed to help with the ohm rise.
