Hey guys, I'm looking to buy some wire for my upcoming build. I'm thinking of getting welding cable but not sure where to get it from. I have seen some on eBay but not sure if it's any good? If someone has used some good welding cable please let me know where I should look. Has anyone herd do the class M welding cable

https://www.wireandcableyourway.com/1-0-welding-cable-class-m-ul-csa.html

Looks good but definitely more expensive.

Also I have heard that 1/0 welding cable is smaller then 1/0 car audio wire. Will the 1/0 welding cable handle 2000 watts? Or should I step up to 2/0 ? I used some of the knukonceptz 1/0 (over sized) wire and it barely fit any of my 1/0 gauge connections. Such a pain in the butt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.s. I tried searching but get an error message every time I try

Wire and cable your way seems to be overpriced pretty heavily imo.

2/0 CCI ROYAL EXCELENE WELDING CABLE RED

That's 2/0 welding, for 2.05. Much cheaper and a great company.

eb flex is the winner hands down.

**** you guys are fast lol. Thanks for the quick reply. Ok so if I get the 2/0 that is suggested will it fit it my 1/0 distribution block and should I buy 1/0 compression lugs or 2/0 ? Jeff where did you get that chart would like to read the article or post that goes with that

Because the welding cable run smaller should I up the #4 gauge to a #2 gauge
Welding cable does not run small it is true to size. Some car audio brands not all run a slightly oversized cable. If your application calls for 4g get 4g although i usually always recommend if there is a chance of future upgrades power wise just get 1/0 and do it just once.

Hi, if no one here is able to help you figure it out, try over at diyaudio in the car audio section, it is a more technical forum. This is one of...

Oem cables are readily available for most vehicles. Check rockauto. Anything less will be a future headache.
