450 sounds about right. Try teampsi, i heard he can get a recone for it a for a bit cheaper.

dont know about the 13w7 but jl wants $215(includes shipping both ways) to recone my 10w6v2.
so i would guess at least 4 bills for the w7

A friend of mine who has 2 12" W7s paid $375 for JL to recone one of them, thats not counting the shipping of a 50+ pound woofer

Thats fine. I have about 475-500 available.
Is a recone basically a refurbished woofer? Mine has scratches aroudn the magnet and the metal where the coil is. I got it off ebay. It was a scam and paypal gave me money back and I got to keep woofer. It also has 3 rips in surround. Will all of that be pretty new looking when I get it back?
Also, do you guys think I will get this back by July 30. That is my 16th bday and I would like my system installed for that date.

Recone involves cutting out the softparts and gluing in a new set. You're 15? Ahh I see why the W7 is such a big deal then..

You'll blame yourself when you realize you paid more for a RECONE than you could pay for a driver that will perform very similarly.
