ZX750.1 @ 1 Ohm?

Like the title says, I was wondering if the 750 would be stable running at 1 Ohm? I will be running an 08 L7 12 D2, and I know you can run them at 1 Ohm but I was wondering if the amp would be stable. If It wont be stable at 1, would the amp be enough to give the L7 some good power @ 2 Ohm's or would the ZX1000.1 be a better choice?

nope, most kicker amps are 2 ohm stable

you can wire you sub like this, but not to its full potential:

I know a person that ran one at .667

I think rise was to 1.4ish and got like 1042 watts outta it

Tested on 3 Kicker CVR 12's Dual 4's, all paralled to .667ohms.

Nominal Impedence: 0.667ohms

Reactive Impedence: 1.64 ohms

Output Voltage from Amp: 41AC volts

Output Current from Amp: 25AC amps

Power Output(P=VI): 1025 watts

Current Draw: 84DCA

Voltage on burp: 12.0VDC

Not too bad for an amp rated to be a two ohm amp and playing below its rated impedence. 1000+ out of a 750 watt amp is pretty nice. This amp is 375@4ohm 750@2ohm.

I think they tested 2 of them and got 7500 out of them but i know skip tested 1 against a Mojo 4kw and I guess you know who won that one!!!

Mojo! at a higher ohm load too produce alil more power then the 40.1 I dont know if skip has all the specs on the test though

It was something like, Mojo at 4200-4300 i think and 40.1 was like a lil under that

But Mojo was wired to .5 and 40.1 was .7, They both rose to like mid 1ohms

It wasnt nothing serious test.....just threw the dmm on and clamped them

Its not weird people think MORE power is better! False

Clean power is better!

You can have 2 amps that 1 could be a 4000 watt amp and 1 a 5000 watt amp. the 4000 watt amp will produce less power but put a higher number on the meter due to cleaner power its not wierd some amps put out cleaner power then others!

i know the ia and the ab both almost did 3 db higher from 1 ohm to .25,so they must be doubling the power that low.

Yehh same with mine

From 1ohm to .25 i gained an asston.....like closer to 4db for me

My 500.1 did 3800watts at .25(1.2 rise) and at 11.2 volts

Im happy with that

Also have to figure your impedence rise

if you running 1 ohm its probably somewhere between 3-5 ohms so you run it down to .25 your getting around .8-1.3 ohm load where the amp produces the most power!
