ZX3 speakers

I have a 2002 svt focus, im looking for coaxial speakers. I've heard that they are 5X7's, and i've heard that they are 6X9's, ive heard that 6X9's will fit in 5X7 holes. Im not really sure about this, and advice would bhe appreciated.

Well as far as i know that in GS-R they have 5x7 and you couldn't fit a 6x9 in the stock hole. But i never been in a focus and seen the speaker holes. Just stick with 5x7 to be safe.

if im not mistaken the 5x7's are imbedded in brackets and fit into a 6x9 cutout. I would look in a crutchfeild mag and see what they have to say about it...

Yes there are 6x9 brackets but the speaker holes still have to be able to support the brackets. I not saying it woulndt work, but for a GS-R it wouldnt due to the size of the speaker holes are 5x7 and a 6x9 wouldnt fit. For a Focus i dont know you have to look at the size of the speaker hole.

i would think its 5x7/6x8 speakers all the way around. Ford usually(almost all the time) has this setup in every car(excluding the stang mach system). But i could be wrong, so g2 http://www.crutchfield.com and g2 the what fits my car section!!!!!!
