Jl audio amps are much better for fine tunning and presision power over the kicker
Please explain to us how the JL is better for "fine tuning"? What does it have that the Kicker doesn't?

If you are going for sq I would ditch the idea of both of those and go get yourself an old school amp, I have a us amp usa-2000 and it works awesome.
You're crazy if you think you can hear improved SQ, FROM YOUR SUBS, going from a Kicker amp to a US Amps amp. So long as you get the same power without clipping the signal(keeping distorion low), you'd be hard pressed to find any kind of difference.

so your saying zx2500 is worth buying?
Yes, but not for your application. I'm not familiar with what kind of power those JL amps put out, but you'll be running the Kicker at ~2.67ohm(depending on exactly what your sub's voice coils are...maye be a little higher or lower).

Just keep in mind that you will not be getting full power out of the Kicker. So unless you simply wanted to cut down on the number of amps you have, and make it a cleaner install, I wouldn't do it.

ok what would fit my application then?
With three D4 subs, you're looking at either a .67ohm load, or a 2.67 ohm load...nothing it really built to produce all its power at those ohm loads, but you can looking into some 1ohm amps that have been known to be stable at .5ohm(ie: sundown, atomic, etc.). Or, you can get an amp that does its power at 2ohm(like the Kicker), and just get a big enough amp to where you don't have to worry about not having enough power(like the Kicker).

im going to run 2 (2000) watt kinetic and yellow top with big 3 all the way will that be enough for the 2500.1? and will that amp push these subs to the limit?

ok well first off i know the JLs A1800 work becuz i have them on there and they are pushing too full max..... 800 watts and 1000 at 14.2volts im trying to go to one amp.. and the only one seem in reason at 2 ohm stable is the zx ????

and the warhorse is a dumb idea and not at all cost efficent im not trying competition ........ and 10k watts on a sub that thermal is 750..............

but your subs will NOT get you a 2 ohm load so the zx will do **** for you:rolleyes:

my subs are 2.66 ohms............................... dual 4 ohm i have 3 .........there for runnign them at 8 ohms. 8 divided by 3 is 2.66667 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

2.66667 or w\e is not 2 and it is deff not 2 once you start playing them and things heat up a bit. I would go with the sundown 3000 run them at .67 and call it a loud day.

Some of it plays well, some not so well lol. New decaf going around of "Break the knob off!" I have been playing and like it.
