Lanzar Opti1000.1d

US Acoustics had at least one. I think two or three.

Might have been a Nakamichi

Probably some others I'm not thinking of.

Old Hifonics VII & VIII there were 3 mono amps.

Cyclops (100w @ 4ohm, 175w @ 2ohm)

Hercules (200w @ 4ohm, 375w @ 2ohm)

Atlas (400w @ 4ohms, 600w @ 2 ohms)

Oh, and there were no mono amps in the US Acoustics USA series.

Nothing really just looking into this for a friend. He was hoping for something that did around 2k at any impedance that was zed made.

The largest Zed amp ever was the Colossus (two Zeus' internally strapped) early Hifonics. They're pretty rare but would do around 2KW @ 4 ohm. He had planned a "megalith" with the last Zed line that would have done 1200W but that never got of the drawing board.

If you can find the Lanzar Opti1000D be wary about low impedence. Apparently some components in them are not up to the task (plan to send it to Stephen to replace some parts for reliable operation).

Also, the Opti, Minilith and the new lineup are the ONLY class D amps he has built to the best of my knowledge

Just get two Kronos's and call it a day. Mono doesn't mean a thing if you don't have any impedance restrictions.

Great old AB amps, but current hogs and hard to find unmolested ones. I have owned a few, they bring ~$600-$700 in good condition(usually to collectors). Last time i spoke to Steve he laughed about people wanting to run them when there were so many amps available now that can do the same power for 2/3 the current draw. He said it was a great compliment, but he could make believers out of them if they would try his newer amps.
