Zapco old school z300 in protect, any help?

A guy I know has a oldschool Zapco Z300 he wants to trade me it's a black amp , 1ohm stable 3x30 amp fuses ratailed for 1,500 back in the day I'm told..Anybody know how much it might cost to fix one of these? or if anybody on these forums would want to do it?

What happended was he pulled his subs out of his ride one night and forgot to pull the amp fuse, the speaker wires touched and ever since the amp will only power up but stay in protect. Is this something that sounds like a easy fix or forget about it?

I'd like to get the amp but it may end up costing to much after getting the amp off him then paying repair fees, shipping ect..

No, I haven't... Was not sure if they would offer repair on a older amp or not. I'll give that a try and see if I can get anywhere.
