Your sub choice

The fi's look nice but I think for what I want I'm down to image dynamics and Dayton. After a bit of research I can't see the extra $80 in the Id subs So I think it's Dayton for me, especially since they can take a smaller box. Thanks for the help!

dayton ho 15 d4 in a sealed box would be pretty ideal here if you have 16 inches all around. I would seriously do a 15 over a 12 all day anyday especially when going sealed. In your space you cant even do a single 12 ported without losing a lot of performance. You'll only do well with a single 10 in that air space but at that point the 15 in a sealed will be just as loud and sound pretty good without having to worry about box design at all.

Just grab a 900-1000 rms amp at 2 ohm and you should be pretty good output and sound quality/musical range wise.

my friend mounted his giant cab amp to back wall of his truck so can be done fs if u don't mind holes in truck..
Oh no holes for me! Plenty of better ways to mount things like that; my favorite is high strength Velcro, holds about 20 lbs and makes a *click noise when it locks into place. Perfect for that sort of thing.
I found the image dynamics 12 with a sealed enclosure and polyfill for a good deal so I'm going with that, Box is a perfect fit for what I have in mind and from what I've read it should sound well above anything I'm used to. Thanks for the help guys!

thing about velcro isn't how strong the hook and loop is it's how strong is the tape/glue u use to put in on amp or whatever + amps gonna get warm just sayin..

Well i ended up with an image dynamics 12 in a sealed box. Very happy with it, crisp and clean. Sounds close in quality to the 2 10" jbl professionally installed in this guys car at work.
