Your first system ever

My issue is what is considered "old school" around here. Most of the new members call anything pre 2009 old school...I call mid 90's old school lol.
concur...

first system was a pair of orion xtr 8s in bandpass, powered by a cobalt 230 - after that was a pair of lanzar 12s, same amp...

that was around 18 years ago...

my first system was a pullout cassette deck but it has an aux input on the front to I could plug in my MP3CD discman. Infinity Kappa 692.5 powered by a 50X2 Linear amp 1002. the speakers were they only thing I paid for the others were free. that was in a 73 malibu.

My first stereo with a sub. Pioneer P680mp, Infinity 623.9. IDQ running off MB Quart DSC2150.

First system was 2 12" Kicker comps 2010 models on a Rockford Punch 300.1 with a Kenwood deck... Needless to say that started my addiction so about a month and I wasnt happy with those... That's when I joined the forum and it has been nothing but buying, selling, reading, and learning for a couple years... Now I'm working on a TC Neo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Skip the 15 and go straight to the 18, you won't regret it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Yeah that or I can "act" like I'm cool with 2 15's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But honestly the wow factor that you get from people when you tell them you have an 18" sub is priceless...it's like they didn't even know subs that large existed, haha

But 2 15's are a lot more cone area than a single 18 and will probably be louder in the appropriate enclosure so if you have the room, I'd go that route.

(Or two 18's....muwahahahaha)

1995 Pontiac Firebird Convertible

Pioneer 5500mp

Pioneer 6.5 components

2 Treo SS 400w subs

Memphis 1000d amp

Tsunami CCA 4ga

With the top up it bumped real hard for what i had, but top down was horrible.
