Your first system ever

If u can remember the first system u ever had post it.

mine was a pair of Duals(yes the ones that light up blue) with a 1200 watt hitron amp( never heard of hitron after that). all i had was pioneer 6x9's in the back with blown front speakers in a 1993chevy cavalier, I thought that **** slammed until i got a single type x and gave the duals away for free. also had a schoshe 500k capacitor lol:confused:

I actually started browsing ca forums before I bought my first system so I never ran any walmart crap. My first system was a pair of JLW3v2's and a Lanzar Vibe amp (not the most reputable brand but that little amp was a beast for the price). Then it was on to Type arghs and finally into FI BTL territory...a nice progression

First setup was a pair of DD 1008a's off an AP1500. Then swapped out the DD's for a soundstream SPLX 15. Eventually sold that and the AP, bought an Fi Q and had it built up to an 18 by SPLaudio and ran that off a rubicon 2500. Then sold the rubicon and now I'm running an AQ2200.

first one was a 15 inch l7 on a dx 1000 with a 1 farad cap.... then I bought a 12 inch l7 and I ran the 12 and the 15 for a while.... sold the 12 to my friend and did a custom enclosure and install for him, same story with the fifteen. then I bought an atomic apxx 18 and soon realized that there was no possible way that I could fit it in my ranger. So I bought a sundown sa8 ( current system) and now my new system in the works is 5 sa8s on an atomic 3k... 2 xs d3100's with a dc power 270 amp alt, xs 0 ga., 6.9 cu ft gross box with 76 sq. inches of port tuned to 34 hz...

Power Acoustik P2 12 on a Crunch P1500.1. Sub lasted 3 weeks lol. This was before I knew Crunch rated in peak power so I thought I blew my 600rms sub by giving it 750, but I clipped the ***** out of it on 375rms with a lot of bass boost. I got a Solo Classic to replace it, that lasted 6-8months. Shortly after getting the Kicker, I discovered the forums.

The box/amp were actually padlocked down and I used a bunch of special safety head screws. I was super paranoid about someone stealing it, as all my friends were getting their systems stolen because people like to steal in baby detroit aka turd-ledo. I also laid about 1/4-3/8 of fiberglass resin throughout the whole box. I think thats why it performed so well for being sealed.

2 MTX thunders (250watt $60 ones) in a large prefab flea market box on a 2ch. kenwood //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and actually that box was perfect(like a cube-1.2each) for the subs and i matched power decently well so they actually got loud for what they were. Plus they were in a 4runner, back end of them is perfect acoustics lol

My brother actaully STILL has them in his dodge 2500 under the seats in a prefab truck box. There like 3-4years old and still beat everyday lol

old school memphis HPO sub, spl 1600w 2 channel amp, found out later the amp had a blown channel, and my sub was 4 ohm, so i was working with about 200-250w lol. Could not figure out why it wouldnt bump, so I sold it. Regret it to this day.

Kenwood KAC-8105D - Kicker CVR 12" both blew within the first 4-6 months.
Then it was an Alpine MRX-M100 - Alpine Type R 12"

Now it will be 1-2 SKAR VVX15's on 2 SK1500.1's
I'd be interested in hearing the Skar's if you come up to the cities.

I'm running 2 SPLaudio Sundown sa-12's off a brz2400
