RE doesn't set prices, the dealers do. If you have a good local dealers to work with you can get prices not that far off from the old direct prices. If you dont have a local dealer than call one, they can ship to you, or if that is to much work buy something else. The cold hard truth is that RE is doing better than they ever have since the move to dealer networks. Allot more people are able to run RE products now that might have bought an inferior product from their local dealer(some people dont buy from the INTERNET ) before . And some people actually enjoy the convenience and service they get from a good dealer. I know it is hard to believe, but some people actually want to see a product and talk to someone about it face to face before they buy it, that is were dealers come in, and that comes with an increase in price, but to most people it is Worth it.

I couldn't agree more... Just because people on this forum aren't buying RE products anymore doesn't mean they aren't selling tons of subwoofers.

It is hard for some people to realize that there is a world beyond the internet...

Good for them. I'm glad to hear it. I still wouldn't pay those prices, but that's just me. Others will, and to those folks who do, I just hope they did their research before deciding to do so.

RE was a small time 4 man operation. where all the subs where hand built, and very resonably priced. then when the demands where out wighted by availble product, it took for ever to get a driver. then a big multi million doller company saved RE. and now are able to keep up with demand
what do u think is gonna happen to FI. there the new RE. home build subs my 1 maybe 2 guys. something tells me the demand is goin up due to the hype of boards like this. but product on hand is limited, espicialy due to the build your own driver such as the BTLs. soon. people will be waiting 6months for a driver. then whast gonna happen. is some comapny gonna rescue them

ya i went to a FLEA MARKET yesterday, and they had RE out the ***...........SE, 06XXX's, SR's, RE8's, etc.....all over, tons of them. this other place i went to also had DD, RE, and Treo...

Those aren't horrible prices...obviously you can get more sub for the money elsewhere, but not bad for a Flea Market...thanks for the response.
