you first sub :)

my first subs was an mtx blue thunder. this was when they were flea market subs.

in the same week i also got 4 stilwater desing 8" solos. back when the cones were stitched on to the surround.

then i had a big old punch sub. this was all around the same week. i did not know what i wanted so i just ended up getting them all.

I don't ever remember MTX being flea market subs in my area. You could get the knco off Pyramid super blues, but not MTX blue thunders.

2 12" 2001 lightning audio strike... stayed in my rav4 from 2001 until early this year which i changed to 3 mtx 7500... the strike wasn't as loud as my current mtx, but they do sound better than the 7500...

future project... 4 12" rainbow vanadium in my rav4... and 1 15" soundstream splx in my corolla 79... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

heck at the wagon wheel in pine park they were at every audio booth in the place. shortly after when the shops saw the quality they were in the shops. this was when they very first came out. imo the life of mtx as gone from cheap stuff to top of the line and now back down to middle of the road

I had 2 Legacy 12's with yellow kevlar cones... I think even with 2 12's in 1 cube each it only hit like 50hz -3db. It was hilarious. I had them running on a profile baja 75x2 amp and it ended up blowing them (from overdriving them, not from clipping lol)

two rockford fosgate 10" punch hx2 (early style) in a truck box with an old school dsm250 rockford amp, bought the Amp,subs, and box for $200, jvc kameleon hu, boston acoustics 746 plates. It was in a single cab chevy stepside (93 model) there were times i thought i was going to break my rear glass lol. It sounded great even though the subs were in a truck box. I cuss my self every day for selling that setup.

My current setup is my first...1 Arc Flatline sealed to 1.2 cubes. half a year of research pays off. I did try out my friends Bazooka crap for a week or so because i was all wired up for my flatline and kar amp.
I didn't have time to research my subs; I found them in the woods while I was playing paintball. I was 13 and I don't even know if I knew what the internet was back then...
