Yellow Top under the hood

Will the optima yellow top be okay for starting my car? I plan to replace my current starting battery and I want something with a quicker discharge/recharge. I currently have a cheap autolite one (850 CA and 650 CCA). So will the Optima be okay or are there other suggestions out there?

It is perfectly, 100% fine to use a Yellow top for starting purposes. I have, as well as many others... used them this way for YEARS upon YEARS.

just get a yellow,only because its deepcycle. has the same amnt of energy banks,only dif is it can drain the batt as many times as youd like without destroying the bat.

arent the warranties the same? same company?...but still id pick yellow over red because of that deepcycle style..only downside to deepcycle is it takes longer to charge

yellow top has a 1 year free replacement, and then an extra 2-year pro-rated replacement
