I know my charger/jumpstart roll around thing it pumps out over 16.5v, on jumpstart mode, sounds like someone fried it

i thought about that which is why as soon as i noticed the noise the battery came out of my car

can't you just get a swap from oreilly's for another optima?

one would think. however i got it for 25 from oreilys because it had been sittin there for 6 months and they peeled the sticker off of the top of it. however it has not been paid for yet and will not be paid for unless something happens to make this right

good call. Interstate has mention of the gas vents on their site. There is a shop here, the Team Zier guys in fact, that always use aquarium hoses right over those holes in case that happens.

Acid mist may be generated during battery overcharging and may cause respiratory irritation. Seepage of acid from

broken batteries may present inhalation exposure in a confined area.

look for the little vents on top.
