i have two 4 gauge wires coming from my battery, one goes straight to my sub amp, the other goes into a distro block and from there i have a 8 gauge wire to my speaker amp...is the 4 gauge wire thats going into the distribution block still ******* all that power or just what the 8 gauge demands?

Exactly how much power do you think a 4g sucks?

It's just wire. It doesn't make any electrical demand. What is connected to the end of that wire makes the demand.

yeah. and i didnt have enought 8 gauge to re run the wire..plus it acts as a fuse holder..
Your distro has a fuse in it? Just checking, because otherwise it wouldn't be a fuse holder //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
