y dont my subs get low??!!?!?!?!?!

no... listen guys... it has bass... it just doesnt go verry low. and i have my amp on the lpf too. maybe my subs just go down to like 30 or 35 htz or sumthin ??? lol

Two entry level pioneer 10's in a prefab box with around .75 cft each receiving about 200 watts rms each.

Problems-

The subs are low power, low excursion and relativly small in size in a box that has a higher F3 then desired (F3 is the frequency that the output drops below -3DB).

To increase low end output from your existing subs put them in a larger sealed enclosure about 1.25cft per sub this will increase their low end output but reduce their powerhandling slightly, Pioneer subs respond well to larger box sizes.

Ensure they are mounted securley with no leaks coming from around the edge of the subs.

Turn off your subsonic filter if the amp is equipped with one.

Set the low pass filter at 85hz or lower.

The only other way is to replace the subs with a model that has a greater displacment (size and excursion) capability.

He has 10" subs. This means that they arent going to sound that low, especially in that small box, thats sealed...

Get a ported box that's large and tuned low (like 30 htz for 10"). YOu have a Volfenhag amp that probably isn't putting out the power you need.

That's the problem you will have with smaller drivers. Me on the other hand with my 15"... I get too much low bass.

Yea... What stones said.

Model numbers (or a description/picture of the subs) would help determine why that is ...
Some of the Pioneer subs in the past have had an Fs of over 40 Hz, which would explain why they don't get low ...
they are some of the IMPP series subs. the surround is black then the cone is blue and the dust cap is black. the dust cap sticks out and says 400 watts. i dont feel like taking them back out of the box so i cant tell u the model #. ill look them up and post it later.

ok then lets trade subs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Stones is right. You are expecting too much from your subs. I have two 2000SPL's, and although they do get nice and low, they don't exactly have massive output at those levels.

Your best bet would be to get a low-tuned enclosure for those drivers. My ported box gets MUCH lower than my sealed one ever did, and it plays louder with no loss in sound quality.

well... im kinda short on funds so could i just use insulation instead of polly fill? lol in no its probly stupid but... its all i have //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif im a poor guy from the country...wat could u expect?

Yep, the fiberglass insulation will work just as well.

Note- Dont pack it tightly in there, just enough to fill up the inside loosely.

ok guys.. i put the insulation in the box and they get lower... not alot lower but lower. my battery is dead so i cant really listen to it right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif but ill post just HOW low it gets. does anyone live near estill co. ky that can tell me the nearest place to get metered at is?

Dont expect dramatic results from adding polyfill, you wont get them. Most people agree adding poly adds maybe 10% to the enclosure volume (what the driver perceives) which would result in *some* change, but not tons.
