I bought a US Amp 4000d today and was expecting to see a mono block amp. Mono meaning one channel. So when i opened the box i see 2 neg terms and 2 pos terms. How is this a mono amp?

all it does is make it easier to wire up your subs, like if you have a dvc, you can just run one pair of wires to one set of terminals, and the other wires to the other, so you dont have a mess of wires, and connectors connecting them

you mean they are linked together on inside. I was just confused to see it has more then 2 speaker term. It appears that it wouldnt be a true mono amp but i wonder if all US amp mono's are the same way

They are automatically connected in parallel in side the amp. When I mean that, they are they same outputs and the positives and negatives are the same.

so i know this sounds stoooopid but i got the SE 15 subs and decided to go with sx because i noticed a major difference from someone else's system. So i took my sub back and im getting a SX 2ohm dvc sub.

I have the box and all and getting sub ordered but i had a credit with my dealer so he gave me 2 10 inch pioneer SVC subs NIB because i already had a pre fabed from a while back. How will i wire these up so i dont blow these temporary subs.

its bridged inside the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

it would say in the manual for the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

they probably go together on the inside of the amp so you dont have to twist two sets of speaker wires together and jam them in the holes
Ding, Ding, Ding!

Yup.

they are there just to make things easier //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

I don't know about all of USamps' monoblocks are but I would suspect so....since that one is.

There are several monoblocks on the market that have multiple output terminals. And yes, as stated so many times, they are simply there to make life easier for the end user. When you get to this level of usable wattage it's a pretty fair guess that more than one sub is a possibility. So, various manufacturers decided to make things easier for those using more than one sub, multiple VCs on single subs (sometimes up to quad, yanno...).

so it cant really be bridged thought like a 2 channel
Since it only has one channel this would be a negative, ghost rider...
