XXX spl numbers>?

ive been asking alot of questions lately, sorry. lol.

but i went to a comp last weekend and i saw a RE XXX 15 only pull a 134. i didnt get to take pics but she said she had 2000watts going to it. i noticed it was sealed, but even if it were ported with the 3db rule it would be aroun 137. kinda low. maybe the box was built wrong or somethin.

soooooo n e one that has a XXX please hit me up wit some numbers to make me wanna get these things

Friend of mine hit at 144 with 1600 watts ported. He accidently had the bass turned most of the way down on the H/u also.

What type of vehicle was this in? It can make a pretty big difference.

I used 1 RE HC 15 (I know it's not an XXX) to hit 143.4 on the new TL.

I know it's not a XXX but it's close. With my 15" Brahma I did a 146 on lin-x @ 38Hz with 1200w. On the new TL I did a 145 @ 46Hz with 1200w.

man thats weak, i have my hc 15 in a sealed box with 1500rms goin to it and i got 134. yeah crappy i know but it was in a box that is 2.sumthing.

my goal is to hit 155. i would love to bring home one of those BIG ass trophies. so thats y i was plannin on doin 2 XXX's n aroun 8000watts but if i see ppl hittin like low 140's it aint gonna be worth gettin 2 of em then n spendin money on maybe high 140's.

155, that's tough even with the setup he's talking about. I've seen people struggling this year to get into the 150's b/c the new TL is so tough.

1 reason im hopin so high is because i went to the last comp, the mic wasnt setup up right so i should of hit alittle higher but i got a 144.4 with 4 12" MTX 7500's in a crx style box tuned to 45hz with a power acoustik a3000db amp. all wired to 2ohms so 1800watts. but with the voltage drop it was prolly less. i have a stock alt n only 4guage wire.

im plannin on runnin about 4000 to each sub n upgrading my alt, wires, n maybe some extra batteries. so thats y im hoping do high. plus i would love to have a bigger trophy than 28".

To jump 10 dB is a big task. I hit 144.4 with 3 JL 12W0's and 350 RMS in a sealed box on the AC. I'm only at 151.4 now on the AC with 2000 watts, and 2 15's. That 151.4 on the AC is more like 145 on the TL, so it's a long way to go from 155.

I'm not saying you can't do it, and good luck with it, I personally just hate being let down, so I'd shoot a bit lower and then when you actually hit the 155 you'll be more impressed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

If you're only using 4 ga wire on 1800 watts, you're in danger of a seriously burnt wire or fire.

Put this in perspective for ya. My buddy is doin 155.5-155.6 with 9,000 watts and 4 15s in a half wall.
