XXX or type X

Just trying to think of reasons why to get either 2 12 inch XXX or 2 type X.... What is the better Subwoofer overall...For the Money...Better sq...and so on i cant figure out whcih one to get right now im leaning towards the type x only because i can get 2 12's for 550..Also im thinking about getting a orion2500d if that helps...

The XXX is a superior woofer to the Type X. It's also about twice as expensive.

Well its been said that the R's perform better than the X's. Money wise that is.... just like he said.

XXX in this case. type x would def sound way better which it does, but the xxx has more output than the type x and the type x would handle the power like the xxx would on a burp or a busrt. slightly more rms. it would handle more power longer but wouldnt do anything with it, as far the xxx would

Doesnt know what hes talking about.

A. Type R CAN NOT handle 2K daily...your insane....well, maybe with a PYRAMID amp running to it it can

B. XXX = XBL^2 = Sounds better

Type X= NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!

just for chits and grins... how much time spent do you have with those 3 subs? How many setups you had them in?

As for the 2k type r crap. Im sick of this chit man. If it is true, how is it good that i takes 2000 watts to get full use of of the lil guys.

the friggin company theirselves dont even warranty 2000 watts, more less rate them max power at 2000. Max is 1500!

Power handling is so dependant on so many issues, yet people throw around wattage figures like they are gospel, and any true sign of a speaker's performance. While I -highly- doubt anyone of you guys is truely feeding a Type R 2kilowatts on a daily basis (there's difference between owning the amp, and pushing it), that really does not affect my view of its possible performance (good or bad).
