XXX mids vs. Adire Audio Extremis

No more directional than any other 6.5" out to date - directivity is more of a function of frequency and cone size than the actual driver itself.

They are in desgining - personally with the choices as they sit today (8 ohm extremis vs. 2 ohm xxx) - I'd not hesitate and get a set of XXX's immediately. Eventually you'll see car-related components with the extremis 4 ohm driver involved, but that's a ways down the road AFAIK - primary focus for now is getting the sub lines out.

They're way more on axis than the CDT's I had before them... sorry to confuse anyone...

this is off topic but I think you should look into the Seas L18RNX/P they will be hold there own from what I hear against the XXX's.

i would really like to get those L18's since they're so cheap and mounting depth isnt as bad, but they would be getting 50wrms as opposed to the 200wrms xxx's would be getting.

Yeah kicks for any of these would need to be large. Mine are going in my doors. I know I don't have the space to put the Seas in kicks, and don't think I would be doing them justice if I did.

I was thinking 0.2 to 0.3 cubes sealed for my kicks. I just need to know how deep they are so I can fit them. The way their mounted makes pole venting no problem, I just have to make sure the magnet doesn't bump into the carpet.

Should I go 4" maybe?
