Planning on hooking up the xm kit that I got with the new alpine HU I got, and I see no problem hooking most of it up. Only thing I'm wondering, is there's the magnetic antenna, which I've seen people put on their roof's. Just wondering if it'll work if id run it on the inside of the windshield (inside the car) up next to where the rear view mirror used to be. Just wondering if it'll hurt (or work at all) being on the inside of the glass. I'd rather not have it outside, during the winter my car's outside, annd I'm afraid it'll get knicked up and damaged during scraping the ice off of the windshield and such, and I'd rather have it in a spot that you can't see it (rather inside my tinted windshield).
