Xenon 1200.1 vs. Tantrum 1200.1

to throw somethign in the mix here. How would you compare the Kicker SX 1250.1 to the Xenon/Tantrum? I can get the SX for the same price. The DSP on the Kicker sure is appealing. 36dB slopes, etc.

I love my tantrum 1200.1 mine was benched at 1567watts not to shabby for a "1200 watt amp" and she has never poopped my 100amp fuse pushin the dub7 hard so I'd say its pretty **** effiecent

That is a good unit. It uses triple darlington output stages like the xenons. My guess would be that they would sound similar. The only thing that would steer me clear of that amp is its looks.

How would you guys compare the old titanium 1200.1 if it were thrown in the mix? I remember a friend of mines brother had a titanium 500 or 600.1 i dont remember on some old 10w6v1s in a little sealed box and it seemed like that was sooo loud at the time, now thinking back it wasnt that loud but sounded sweet. I also remember a friend of mine in high school had a new celica with 2 12W3v2s in an alright sized sealed box powered by the tantrum 600.1 and it seemed like it was way more than 600 watts, excellent amps, but how would you guys compare the old titaniums in this mix?

The titaniums are power hogs. Great amps though. Quality wise its

xenon>titanium>tantrum Although all 3 are great amps, they each have their qualites. For the average person the tantrum is better suited.

I have owned all 3. I still have a Ti600.2 and a few Xenons.....As far as looks the Titanium takes the cake IMO. It does draw alot of current like mentiond before. They are all worth buying. I think the Titaniums have the best re-sale value.

The titaniums are super great amps, the dude i was talking about that had one with the w6s wired them at 3 ohms and he hooked up another 12, im not sure of the coil config, but probably single 4 and i even knew then you shouldn't do that and i was only like 12, but he did and the amp pushed all 4 subs fine and didnt even get hot.
