Xenon 1200.1 vs. Tantrum 1200.1

Easier to bypass it and run it off the head unit or external processing...
problem is I run an epicenter which needs a full range signal. sucks too since my head unit does 36dB slopes. don't want to spend the money on an external processor either.

tantrum. the xenon is really not more flexible. generally if you can wire your subs at 1 ohm, you can wire them at 4 ohms. also there was a bad batch of xenon's, plus they generally benched at 1200 watts at 4 ohms vs. 1400+ watts at 4 ohms like the tantrum.
true but the diff between 1200 watts and 1400 watts is like 1/3 of a dB of output. Not much to care about.

my point was the tantrum is as flexible as the xenon, so why not spend the money on something that'll do more power, instead of spending more money on something that would do less power, that had a history of failures //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The xenon is the superior amp, doenst put out as much power, but it has more features. For his needs though, the tantrum should work just fine. As for the xenons and their failures, that problem was long fixed, and more than likely the reason you still hear about xenons breaking is because their are still bad ones out. Thats why you buy it authorized. Ive ran my xenon for 1.5 years now, and its been running great. Either way you look at it, your getting great amps. Just flip a coin.

i vote xenon too, i was running the 200.4 its under my bed at home not installed, and its such a great amp. so flexible, so much power, the 200.4 is underrated, they usually do 900-960 watts rms. I would imagine the 1200.1 be the same.

either way, pg are great amps, i dont think you could go wrong with either one of them.

look at the workings

You cant go wrong with PG. I have a X600.1 and am very happy with it. I have a 100.2 still in the box just need the time to put it in along with my rainbow comps. I had a ZX450 and it was a great amp. I like the look of the Xenon line. My X100.2 is a onxy and it looks great in all black.
