The xbox360 and Ps3 will have insane capabilities as far as graphics and sound quality go, but we're getting to the age where amazing graphics don't necessarily yield a better game. Now, taken a couple years ago I would have a huge dissenting opinion on this matter, but the ps3 will be capable of producing life-like cinematic visuals as well as the xbox 360, and at that point, game content is what makes or breaks a game. I've always been a computer gamer due to a keyboard and mouse just feels natural when playing my favorite FPS game, but this will quickly change as I move on into the HD era of gaming. with M$'s release of a keyboard and mouse for the xbox 360, why not switch? Great games, amazing support, visuals will obviously be a +, and now I can upgrade for $400.00!. I still have a 9700 pro from the day it came out and took the crown from the ti4600, and it still handles the latest games decently, but paying about $800.00 for SLI on two 6800GT's still doesn't compare to what a $400.00 console can spit out on my HD-TV. Next-gen consoles are definitely worth the insight, it's just a shame the x360 doesn't support HD-DVD like the PS3. (480p vs. 720p resolution). Regardless, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, and that's what people need to respect.

Thank you. I'm sticking with 360. I will eventually get a PS3 but not right away. Not paying $500.

Umm...XBOX 360 will support 480p, 720p, and 1080i.

Also, the Killzone shit...is NOT real-time rendered. It was "an artists representation" of what programmers expect the game to look like. So, who gives a shit.

Where current processing is upgrading much much slower than it has for the past 10 years. it's just a shame the x360 doesn't support HD-DVD like the PS3.

YAY for cinema scenes that my computer has had for 3 yrs...

I do like the XBOX and PS3 and will be buying both... just never buy a game... I will only buy when mod chips are around, because as it stands I haven't bought a computer game in years (and yes I still play all the ones online etc etc that require unique keys... Doom 3, HL2 etc)

So I decided to take a trip out to the store today jusy because I was bored. I walked around for a bit when this kid playing a game caught my eye. I could believe how good the graphics were to the game he was playing so I had to see what system it was that he was playing on. It turned out that it was the xbox 360. Holy crap that thing was awesome the graphic are pretty much dvd quality. Me being a tard with the xbox controller it was a bit harder because all the controls were "regular" which means that the controls were completely backwards ps2. The game I was playing was battlefield something or another, a pretty good game from the demo that I played. The price tag they had on it was 400 which isn't bad because I've seen it for 700+ on ebay. So if you are interested in it you should go to your local target, it should have one. Me personally I think I'm going to have to wait and get ps3, but don't get me wrong the new xbox is yummy

Ok, I was gonna be nice about the PS3 but I need to say something.

If you are old like me, or remember well when a PS1 and Sega Saturn cost $450; then you must remember that when Sony was releasing the PS2 they did all this same crap. "Oh yeah those obvious cut scenes are pre rendered!" "Yup, it will support Full screen Anti-Aliasing in the 2nd wave of games!" "It will do 5gigatexels per sec.!"

That's just a stupid question, whereas xbox 360 is about to be released and we have a very good look of what things are going to be like, ps3 won't be out for a year and it's still in development so there's no way anyone could know which is better. So...why don't you just get both a 360 and a ps3? Get a 360 this xmas and a ps3 next xmas.
