xbox 360 problem

it is rumored that it takes 2 to 3 weeks from alot of people, but thats not true. Just wanted to make it clear before anybody started making it difficult in here
from the day i sent mine off until the day i got it back was between 2-3 weeks, so how is it not true?

After seeing at least one of these threads in here every few days, Im glad I I got a PS3. How is it that Microsoft can sell these things knowing that they will fail sometime down the road //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif OH MGS4 makes me feel all funny inside...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

dood, fix that shit yourself, buy a kit from the ebay's and do it yourself. i recently just bought a broken 360 for 50 bucks!! it was already tampered with but i figured hey why not give it a shot and see if i can fix it. i took it apart and removed what was done to it and replaced the X-clamp kit. overheated it like supposed to then tested it.

i do believe the x-clamp is a temporary fix. I have no problem sending it in. It's free to do that, as opposed to paying to do it myself and maybe breaking and voiding the warranty.

uh, i've had my xbox for 2 1/2 years without having a problem. That's pretty good if you ask me.

I don't like how most people who are PS3 "fanboys" (i guess thats the term i'm looking for) or at least pure sony-ists forget the rampant problem of the old ps2 breaking down and not reading discs at all. Everything goes through times of flaws..it's just customary in electronics.

The worst thing about MS is actually getting the box, if you can get the box it will be fine. It took them a month to get me the box the 1st time, the second time it took 3 days... They are VERY fast once you have done that. The first one took 6 days including the weekend and the 2nd fix took 5 days including the weekend. I was very happy with them, you also get a free month

really? **** i heard months.
What do you mean by do it right?

My xbox hasn't gone into full fledged Red Death mode, so i believe it's not covered under warranty...

I'll make sure that ***** goes red if that's the case.
well when my hardware failed in mine, the repair center was in Texas. Took a week.

they don't give out boxes anymore. At least not to me.

no it isnt a temp fix, it fixes a design flaw in the 360
yeah I took a look at it...I still don't feel confident enough to do that. I wouldn't want to void the warranty then screw it up.

yea, but since alot of us had the problem before they extended the warrenty we voided it LONG ago lol

true. If it failed again after them fixing it i'd definately buy the X-Clamp thing.

I'm hoping they give me a new one, because i want the HDMI port //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

the 360 does fail alot but i had no problems in getting it fixed. Plus i would never buy a ps3 for gaming in gaming capabilities its nowhere near as good as a 360. Xbox live FTW!

5-7 days. Don't let anybody else tell you different. If you do it right, they will take no longer than a week
3 days shipping if you're close each way, plus however long MS takes. Probably not going to happen

From what I've seen, if MS asked to send in your power brick too, then you will get upgraded to it.
