xbox 360 problem

Ok so I have a problem someone may have had here, just thought I'd ask.

I put in a disk to my 360. Bing bang bosh, shit loads up, turns on, starts up fine.

about 30 seconds later- FREEZE. It's like a scratch sound comes through my stereo or TV (whatever is my audio output) and the game freezes. Console doesn't do anything, controller has no effect.

It has little *** lines or blocks that are all f'd up and it keeps the last image that their was on the screen frozen.

No Red Rings of Death, no nothing. Everything is jolly...Power brick is green...

i'm guessing I'll have to send it in to microsoft to get it fixed?

anyone have this problem? did they fix it?

ok, i had the same problem with gta 4. You have just witnessed the beginning stages of the red ring of death. If you put another game in and it still freezes before the menu, then your xbox is history. Thanks.

And yes, icrosoft will fix it for free. Just call 1-800-4-myxbox

thats exactly what is happening.

RIGHT BEFORE I GO TO COLLEGE. ****.

one of my roommates xbox broke on them too, and the other one can't bring theirs.

how long does it normally take for MS to do all the shit required to fix it?

really? **** i heard months.

What do you mean by do it right?

My xbox hasn't gone into full fledged Red Death mode, so i believe it's not covered under warranty...

I'll make sure that ***** goes red if that's the case.

it is rumored that it takes 2 to 3 weeks from alot of people, but thats not true. Just wanted to make it clear before anybody started making it difficult in here

Just send it in asap. they will fix it even if it doesn't have red ring. They will ask for a number on the xbox and thats all

Yep, its fried. Call them when you can and get that shit sent in. They will send you a box after you call them and you will need to put your xbox in it and ship it back to them. They will fix it and send it right back. If your lucky, they may send you a brand new one like they did for me.
